Fifth Annual Leadership North Carolina Forum Keynote Speaker Announced

Head of International Trade Administration to Address North Carolina Leaders

Leadership North Carolina is pleased to announce that Francisco J. Sánchez, Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade, will be the keynote speaker for the Fifth Annual Leadership North Carolina Forum on January 26 in Raleigh. Sánchez leads the International Trade Administration, which assists in the development of U.S. trade policy in the global economy; creates jobs and economic growth by promoting U.S. companies; strengthens American competitiveness across all industries; addresses market access and compliance issues; administers U.S. trade laws; and undertakes a range of trade promotion and trade advocacy efforts.

The Leadership North Carolina Forum is designed to provide information and dialogue on charting our state’s future for leaders in business, government, education, and nonprofits from across North Carolina. A limited number of seats are still available. Leadership North Carolina Class XIX Donates Hundreds of Books to NCCIW

When the members of LNC Class XIX toured the North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women (NCCIW) during LNC’s Government session in November they saw a need and acted on it.

During their tour of NCCIW, LNC participants learned that many prisoners are enthusiastic readers but that books are often in short supply.  With the encouragement of NCCIW Warden Bianca Harris, Class XIX set up a book drive to benefit the prison.
